Olive’s Story

From a Finance Officer studying her Masters, to an Executive Manager and proud mother of three, Olive has experienced so much growth over the years – both personally and professionally.

“I started with RFQ 16 years ago, in 2006. It was just myself and three others in the office at that time, including the CEO. I was young and found that joining a growing organisation provided me opportunities to develop my professional skills and accumulate extensive experience. It’s been quite a journey.”

In many ways, Olive has grown alongside the company – all the while raising three children. Despite juggling multiple priorities, she’s kept her eyes on the prize throughout – keeping a balance between work and home.

“When I started, I was still doing my Masters. Usually people do a Masters within two to three years, but it took me seven because my family was growing. I started with a family of two, and now I have a family of five. RFQ have always supported my family, my studies and my desire to grow and develop.”

Olive’s long tenure may be uncommon for someone her age, but at RFQ she has found a rhythm that works for her lifestyle.

“Lifelong learning is a significant part of my life. After completing my master’s degree in Finance, the organisation supported my CPA study. I have been pursuing different fields of expertise in the last five years; through this journey of learning, I am able to expand my career beyond Finance and Accounting.”

As a true testament to her character and her abilities, Olive recently stepped into the newly created position of Executive Manager Performance and Analytics. In doing so, she has stretched her skills and expertise in finance while delving into a new domain – a challenge which she welcomes.

“My current job incorporates aspects of finance, which I know and love, while also providing me a platform to utilise my other skills and experience through branching into more strategic, analytical aspects of the business. It’s an exciting time.”
