Housing Support

Support Services Under Housing Support

The housing support program assists clients who are at risk of homelessness and currently living in boarding houses, hostels or crisis accommodation. RFQ recovery support workers collaborate with clients to:

  • Source and maintain stable tenancy and housing
  • Learn life skills related to looking after a house and managing issues that arise
  • Provide links to mental health support, welfare services, peer groups and local community services.

Support is provided at a higher intensity for three months and a lower intensity for up to nine months, if required. 

 

Note: People who are ‘sleeping rough’ and those who are receiving support through NDIS are ineligible for this program.

Eligibility

  • 18 years and over
  • Referred by the Mental Health Service
  • Living in a boarding house, hostel or crisis accommodation
